Diocese of Wyoming Convention

Convention delegates will gather in Convention at the Parkway Plaza Hotel in Casper on Thursday, October 1, 2009. Registration begins at the Diocesan Office, 123 South Durbin Street at 4:00. At 7:00, the opening Eucharist will be in the Grand Ballroom at the Parkway Plaza with Presiding Bishop Katharine Jefferts Schori as our celebrant. Bishop Jefferts Schori will be our Keynote Speaker on Friday morning at 9:00, after opening worship at 8:30. Much more is planned for our time together in Casper, including reports on our various Mustard Seed projects throughout the diocese and a report on the recent Mission trip to Honduras. This promises to be an exciting time. Convention will conclude after the closing worship on Sunday morning with our Bishop Bruce Caldwell as celebrant.

Singspiration

We are invited to join the folks at Sundance United Methodist Church this Sunday, September 27 at 5:00 for a community Singspiration. The evening begins at 5:00 with a light supper to follow at 6:00. Those attending are asked to come prepared with a reading to share, or a musical offering, or to just bring yourself. Further information should be in the newspager tomorrow, Thursday the 24th.

Upcoming events:

Bishop Vernon Strickland will preach and celebrate at Holy Eucharist this Sunday, September 27 at 9:30. Deacon Warren Frelund will also participate in the service.

Service time is 9:30 am each Sunday.

Holy Eucharist each second and fourth Sunday.

Morning Prayer is read all other Sundays.

Monthly events:

Bible study each Thursday at 10:00 in the parish hall.

Monthly sing at the Nursing Home at 10:00 on the First Friday of the month.

Daughters of the King [DOK] meet at 7:00 on the first and third Mondays in the parish hall.
